Watch Commercials Featuring Melissa McCarthy, Bryan Cranston, Adam Driver, Natasha Lyonne, John Travolta, Anna Faris, Bradley Cooper, and More – Update

The most effective advertising from the Super Bowl in 2023, as ranked by industry professionals.

Super Bowl advertisements are well-known. Every year, during the most watched football playoffs in America, marketers spend millions of dollars for only a few minutes of awareness. And they make an effort to make it count by enlisting prominent actors and appealing to nostalgia.

However, some companies were more effective than others in persuading us to buy their goods and messaging while also making us feel and laugh.

Here is a look at a few of the most enduring, funny, and compelling Super Bowl ads, regardless of whether they featured famous people, ran with an oddball joke, touched viewers’ emotions, made a nostalgic appeal to our pop culture nostalgia, or did any mix of those things.

General Motors

A humorous 60-second commercial for General Motors with a lot of Netflix allusions had Will Ferrell as the lead. The comedian waxed lyrical about the relationship between the automaker and the dominant streaming service, stating how GM will include more electric cars in programmes and movies. Ferrell appeared in parodies of Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, Bridgerton, and The Squid Games, among many other allusions.

Pepsi

This year’s Pepsi Super Bowl commercial served as a PSA on the what acting actually is. Stiller played a variety of characters in the amusing ad while stating that it is his responsibility as an actor to convince the audience that what they are witnessing is true. The actor revisited his “Magnum” visage, which was a pleasure for Zoolander fans.

Rakuten

A Clueless fan’s response if we had claimed to have seen Cher Horowitz together in Super Bowl commercial would have been “As if!” For the shopping app Rakuten, Alicia Silverstone reprised her renowned role as the snobby wealthy girl from the 90s cult classic.

PopCorners

Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul returned to their characters from the popular series Breaking Bad, except this time they were selling PopCorners snacks rather than meth.

UberEats

When we mentioned that the Super Bowl advertisements were laden with nostalgia, we weren’t joking. In quest of the ideal jingle, the UberEats advertisement enlisted well-known performers from the 1990s and 2000s such Kelis, Donna Lewis, Montell Jordan, Diddy, Ylvis, and Haddaway. It’s funny and sentimental in equal measure!

Squarespace

The “The Singularity” Squarespace advertisement starring actor Adam Driver reminded us a little bit of the Matrix, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Multiplicity. Driver’s mind is blown by the idea of “A website creating websites,” and he becomes mystical.

Dunkin Donuts

“Bennifer,” arguably the most significant pair of the late 2000s zeitgeist, was brought together by Dunkin Donuts. But the relationship goes a little bit deeper. The media has tracked Affleck’s devotion to the company throughout the years. Pictures of the actor chowing down on a Dunkin Donut delight or sipping iced coffee are abundant. It was an association that had been awaited for internet observers. In addition to capitalising on Affleck’s lifelong devotion to Dunkin Donuts, the company also enlisted the help of Affleck’s partner Jennifer Lopez for just a funny conclusion.

Amazon, The Farmer’s Dog

This year’s Super Bowl ads had the puppy love theme more than once. Let our hearts be still.

A girl and her dog are followed through the years in the advertisement “Forever” from the dog food meals. The Farmer’s Dog. The girl and her dog go from childhood to their teen years, marriage, and starting a family. This one dog, somehow, is present to see everything. Nothing is more important than spending more time together, was the message.

Sawyer, the dog featured in an Amazon commercial titled “Saving Sawyer,” is constantly getting into mischief when his family goes away from home.

e.l.f. Cosmetics

In 2023, as that of the Jenaissance gains momentum, e.l.f. secures a coveted position with Jennifer Coolidge.

She hardly fails to wow, as seen by her extra-sticky foundation from the cosmetics company.

Oh my gosh, I resemble a young dolphin. The Emmy-winning “The White Lotus” actor says this just before e.l.f. Power Grip starter causes him to become glued to a piece of glass.
