Vehicle owners usually tend to stay quite loyal to the brands that they believe in. The J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Automotive Brand Loyalty Study which ranks the brand loyalty when it comes to cars suggests the same. Brand loyalty refers to the proportion of car owners who purchase the same brand when trading or purchasing a new car.
Subaru tops the list with Hyundai coming in 7th. Here’s a list of all the cars which made it to the brand loyalty list.
1. Subaru
The company ranks highest among mass-market brands. It has held the position of being the highest across overall parameters in the automotive industry for a third consecutive year. Its loyalty rate lies at 61.8%.
2. Toyota
The company, a household brand name in India ranks second at 61.1% in the mass-market brand ranking.
3. Honda
The Japanese multinational conglomerate ranks third in the list with 59.3% brand loyalty.
4. Ram
The study found that 56.8% of Ram owners went back to buying a car from the company again and thus ranking on the 4th position in the list.
5. Ford
With 53.9% brand loyalty, Ford comes in after Ram in the brand loyalty ranking.
6. Kia
With a slight increase from the previous year’s 51.3% to 52.2%, the company made it to the 6th position.
7. Hyundai Motor
The company overtook Chevrolet to land a rank on the 7th position from last year with 51.0% of consumers returning to buy a car from the same company.
8. Chevrolet
Following Hyundai Motor, the company shows a brand loyalty of 49.2% as per the study.
9. Mazda
The study showed that 46.7% of consumers returned to buy a Mazda after making a purchase with the brand.
10. Volkswagen
Ranking 20th in the list, the famous brand portrays a brand loyalty of 46.0%.
The others to follow in line are Nissan, Jeep, GMC, Buick, Mitsubishi, Mini, Dodge, Chrysler.
