Kantar has shelled out its list of the most valuable brands in 2022 around the world. Any guesses as to who bagged the top position this year?
On its track to becoming the first trillion-dollar brand in the world, Apple sits high on top. This is due to the brand’s diversification throughout the year across its hardware and software portfolio. Following Apple, Google sits in the second position with an increased brand value of $819.6 billion!
Overall, out of 100 brands, 37 increased their values in 2022. Most of these companies are from the Media & Entertainment and Business Solutions industries. Here’s looking at the top 10 brands globally.
Apple
Apple witnessed a 55% increase in brand value this year. It’s current value stands at $947062.
In the second place, Google’s current value is $819573 with a 79% increase in brand value.
Amazon
Amazon saw a 3% increase in brand value, making its current value at $705646.
Microsoft
Microsoft witnessed a 49% increase in brand value, taking its worth to $611460.
Tencent
Tencent saw an 11% drop in brand value in 2022. Its current value is $214023.
McDonald’s
In the sixth place, McDonald’s stands with a brand value of $196526 witnessing a 27% increase in 2022.
Visa
Visa did not see any increase in brand value. It’s total worth is $191023.
Facebook dropped by 18% in brand value, bringing its worth down to $186241.
Alibaba
Alibaba, another Chinese company, saw an 18% drop in value amounting to $169966.
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton paved its way to the top 10 list with a 64% increase in brand value. Its total worth is $124273.
