The definition of fashion has evolved so much over the centuries. What was considered trendy back then has become obsolete today like the practice of wearing a corset or donning a victorian wig.
But many fashion brands have been working hard to ensure that they launch something new every season. While some of these trends catch up, there are some that become viral for all the wrong reasons.
From Balenciaga selling ‘Thallas’ for Rs 1.5 Lakhs to Gucci’s Indian-style kurta for Rs 2.5 lakhs, luxury fashion brands have been selling some of the most common-looking things for an extraordinary price.
Joining the culture, Hugo Boss is the latest brand to sell something very menial with a hefty price tag and people on Twitter have had a field day with it.
As per the company’s website, Hugo Boss is selling a pair of blue slippers for a whopping Rs 8,990. Ever since the picture of the slippers has been shared online along with the price tag, people have unanimously agreed that they look exactly like a pair of rubber chappals that can be found in every Indian household. And we all know how much they cost.
