Electric bicycle brand EMotorad has launched a new ad campaign featuring MS Dhoni and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The ad titled, Animal for a Reason is written and produced by creative agency One Hand Clap.
In the ad film, Dhoni is styled to resemble Ranvijay Singh’s character from the movie Animal, complete with a similar hairstyle and attire.
Dhoni recreates a memorable scene from the film, stepping out of a car with his convoy. However, instead of grabbing a cigarette, he picks up a toothpick, showcasing a lighter twist.
He then picks his EMotorad e-bike from a selection of guns, walking with swag as his convoy follows.
Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who makes his acting debut in the campaign, observes Dhoni’s performance and applauds his acting skills.
In a playful exchange, Dhoni imitates one of Vanga’s famous dialogues from Animal, saying, “Sunai de raha hai behra nahi hu main”.
In the next sequence, Dhoni sports long hair, similar to the movie’s protagonist, prompting a humorous exchange where Dhoni questions the need for the long hair in an ad for electric vehicles. To which, Vanga says wait for the next shoot.
