Hari Om, an OTT platform offering Indian heritage and religious content, has appointed Angira Vats as their Content Head.
In her new role, Vats will be steering the development of original content and enhancing Hari Om’s diverse offerings. She will be spearheading crucial facets of production such as conceptualisation, screenplay and storytelling. Furthermore, she will be overseeing a team of specialised researchers, writers and creatives, to ensure the choicest of material for our audiences’ viewing.
Vats beings over two decades of extensive experience in writing and direction. In the past, she was responsible for assisting in the direction of acclaimed films such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Bewafa, and Lucky: No Time for Love. She transitioned into the television market and led some of the most pioneering shows, including Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Siya Ke Ram, Dastan-e-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali, Jai Shri Krishna, and Prithvi Vallabh.
Her expertise spans across conceptualising, designing, researching, and executing distinct looks and feels for genres ranging from mythology, fantasy, and historical, to comedy and adventure. Her specific working knowledge of CGI has also been instrumental in her success within these genres.
