Karan Kumar Returns To Real Estate Sector, Joins BPTP As Chief Marketing Officer

Karan Kumar, who had been associated with ART Fertility Clinics for the past two years as Group Chief Marketing and Growth Officer after calling it quits at DLF, has once again returned to the Real Estate industry by joining BPTP in the capacity of Chief Marketing Officer.

Karan Kumar Returns To Real Estate Sector, Joins BPTP As Chief Marketing Officer

After being associated with ART Fertility Clinics for the past two years as Group Chief Marketing and Growth Officer after calling it quits at DLF as its first ever CMO, Karan Kumar has now joined BPTP as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

He took to LinkedIn to make the announcement.

Being the first CMGO of ART Fertility Clinics, Kumar was responsible for leading the company’s multicultural teams in Abu Dhabi (global headquarters) and Gurugram, heading overall marketing strategy, strategic partnerships with KOLs and referring doctors, digital marketing (including SEO, SEM, and PPC campaigns), and brand storytelling to drive revenue and margin growth through revised pricing and new customer acquisition.

Prior to this two-years long association with ART Fertility Clinics, he served the role of Chief Marketing Officer at DLF for a period of more than two-and-a-half years, starting December 2019.

And being the first CMO of DLF, he not only led marketing and growth strategy, including digital marketing and customer experience for the residential portfolio, conceptualizing and executing 25 launches over 30 months, driving sales and revenue growth from under Rs. 2,500 Crores to over Rs. 7,500 Crores over 36 months overlapping with the pandemic, but also headed the marketing and branding strategy for the corporate brand and DLF Foundation, DLF’s CSR arm intervention.

Working directly with the Chairman and the Board, he was also responsible for leading luxury marketing and customer experience strategy for ‘The Camellias’ as well as the launch of ‘The Camellias Clubhouse’. Amongst others, he also headed the launch of ‘One Midtown’, ‘Parc Estate’ and more.

Additionally, he also led the growth marketing mandate, heading the performance marketing strategy for CPC-led paid advertising campaigns, content marketing, and SEO for organic SEM campaigns for the residential business.

That being said, by joining BPTP as its new CMO, Kumar has once again returned to the real estate domain and is excited to begin his journey at one of the most prominent real estate developers in the NCR region.

Prior to joining the Real Estate realm, he was associated with Fabindia for about three years, ending December 2019. He joined them as Head of Brand and Marketing in January 2017 and was elevated to the role of Chief Brand and Marketing Officer in April 2018.

Before that he was associated with FMCG major- ITC for more than a decade-and-a-half’s time and moved up the professional ladder from joining the company in June 2001 as Assistant Under Training to becoming Assistant Manager (FMCG Branch) in April 2002, Assistant Brand Manager- Staples, Spices and Ready-To-Eat Foods in April 2004, Assistant Manager- Exports in April 2005, Brand Manager- Confectionary in April 2006, Head- FMCG Business (Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh) and Head- FMCG Business (Mumbai) in April 2008.

In June 2009, he assumed the position of Marketing Manager- New Product Development and Consumer Insights and then advanced to roles such as National Sales Manager in April 2013, General Manager- Marketing in November 2013 and Head of Marketing, ECommerce, Portfolio Strategy and Digital Experiences in Retail in September 2015.
