As per the Kantar Most Valuable Brands Ranking 2021, the best companies in the world have been declared! Cumulating a total net worth of $7.1 billion similar to that of France & Germany, most of the brands have stemmed out from the USA.
From 2006 till now, Amazon has come a long way and has managed to secure the first spot in the ranking list. Wondering which other brands made the cut? Here’s the entire list for your reference.
Amazon
Amazon founded by Jeff Bezos, grew by 64% to US$684bn which is equivalent to the GDP of Poland. Year after year, the company has had smooth sailing, now having taken over Apple as the most valuable brand in the world.
Apple
Apple ranks second in the list, holding a brand value of $611,997 million. Since last year, the brand’s value has increased by 74%. This American MNC has been flourishing over the years with new launches of the iPhone, iPad, and more.
Google’s brand value saw an increase of 42% since the previous year. As per Kantar, the company now stands at $457,998 million and at third place.
Microsoft
Microsoft has been in the top 5 rankings for some years now. With a 26% increase since last year, the company attains the 4th position on Kantar’s list with an estimated value of $410,271 million.
Tencent
Tencent jumped a few ranks since last year by getting a 60% increase straight to the 5th position. The total estimation of the company stands at $240,931 million.
Mark Zuckerberg owned Facebook sits in the 6th position with 54% increase since 2020. The value estimation of the company lies at $226,744 million.
Alibaba
The Chinese giant, Alibaba, is one of the largest e-commerce platforms existant today, after Amazon. Securing the 7th position, the company saw a 29% increase since 2020 with a market estimation of $196,912 million.
Visa
Visa managed to stay in the top 10 and saw only a 2% increase since 2020. The popular online payment aggregator for debit and credit cards holds a market value of $191,285 million as of 2021.
McDonald’s
McDonald’s seems to have jumped up the ladder this year in the top 10 rankings. Seeing a 20% rise since 2020, it currently stays at a value estimation of $154,921 million.
MasterCard
MasterCard lies in the 10th position with a 4% increase. Total value estimation of $112,876 million makes it secure the 10th rank with more scope to progress in the coming year.
Most of these brands from the US account for about 74% of the jump since last year. Despite having a GDP of just 24%, they have soared higher than brands from Europe, France, Germany, and even Poland.
