Praxis Home Retail has elevated Shashwat Nigam to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HomeTown. He has been given the mandate to rebuild and scale the home goods brand, bringing with him eighteen years of experience across corporate leadership, omnichannel retail, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Previously, Nigam worked as a consultant on HomeTown’s rebuilding strategy from July 2025 to January 2026.
Nigam’s most recent corporate role was at Entero Healthcare, where he served as Business Head Retail and Vice President from July 2023 to November 2024.
Between September 2021 and April 2023, Nigam worked on building and scaling startups. He served as Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at InDepot, backed by Livspace, where he built a B2B and B2C omnichannel platform for home renovation materials and launched private labels. He later joined Open Secret as Chief Business Officer (CBO), helping reposition it as a curated B2C platform for healthy food and beverages with over one hundred brands.
Nigam’s executional strength was shaped during his fourteen year tenure at Hindustan Unilever (HUL) from October 2007 to September 2021, where he held several leadership roles across supply chain and procurement. From April 2020 to September 2021, he served as Senior Manager Supply Chain Planning Excellence, driving operations transformation and digital strategy initiatives across the Asia region.
Between December 2013 and March 2020, as a procurement leader, he managed annual spends exceeding 500 million dollars, oversaw more than 4,000 materials, and led large scale cost saving programmes across the South Asia packaging and foods divisions.
Earlier, from May 2011 to November 2013, he headed customer facing supply chains for modern trade retailers, and from October 2007 to February 2010, he managed capital expenditure projects for new factory executions, leading large on site teams.
