Alphabet reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, with Google’s advertising business continuing to expand on the back of AI-driven improvements across Search and YouTube. The company said Google Search revenue grew 17% year-on-year, while YouTube advertising revenue increased 13%, contributing to an 11% rise in overall Google advertising revenue.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Google advertising revenue reached $81.2 billion, up from $73.2 billion a year earlier. Within this, Google Search and other generated $60.5 billion, a 17% year-on-year increase, while YouTube advertising revenue rose 13% to $10.4 billion.
Alphabet attributed the performance to continued investments in artificial intelligence, which have enhanced Search capabilities and user engagement. CEO Sundar Pichai said AI Overviews and AI Mode are seeing strong adoption, helping users ask more complex queries while creating new opportunities for advertisers.
The company noted that AI Overviews now reach more than 2.5 billion monthly users across over 250 countries and territories, while AI Mode has crossed 150 million monthly active users, reflecting growing consumer adoption of generative AI experiences within Search.
Overall, Alphabet reported revenue of $115.2 billion, up 16% year-on-year, while net income increased 19% to $34.5 billion during the quarter. The company said it will continue investing in AI infrastructure and products to support long-term growth across its consumer and enterprise businesses.
The results reinforce Google’s continued dominance in digital advertising, with AI-powered Search experiences and YouTube’s expanding video ecosystem driving advertiser demand and revenue growth.
