Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her first budget today at the Parliament and the everyone was very keen to know about tax breaks and other important financial topics. Unfortunately, there was nothing for individual taxpayers, which left many disappointed.
Nirmala announced an increase in customs duty on gold and precious items from 10 percent to 12.5 percent. She also announced an additional cess of Rs 2 per litre on petrol and diesel which made vehicle owners unhappy. Apart from these, Sitharaman announced that Aadhaar card can now be used in place of Pan card for all official purposes.
