Audio and wearables brand boAt has promoted Vedansh Kumar to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking a significant leadership move as the company looks to strengthen its brand and product marketing efforts. The appointment was announced on June 5, 2026.
He shared this news on LinkedIn, describing the promotion as both humbling and energising, while thanking the company’s leadership and teams for their trust and support.
Kumar joined boAt in August 2023 as Head of Brand Marketing after a stint at Zomato, where he served as Creative Lead. Over the past three years, he has taken on expanding responsibilities across brand and product marketing, helping shape campaigns and consumer engagement initiatives for the homegrown electronics brand.
With more than a decade of experience in marketing and advertising, Kumar has previously worked with agencies including Publicis Groupe, Dentsu Creative and MullenLowe Lintas Group. During his career, he has worked on campaigns for brands such as Google, Paytm, Vivo, Absolut Vodka and Jameson Irish Whiskey.
Before the promotion, Kumar served as Head of Brand & Product Marketing at boAt, where he led youth-focused branding and consumer engagement efforts. He has often spoken about building brands that become part of culture, combining creativity, speed and data-driven decision-making.
