Rohini Laya Venkateswaran has been appointed as the Executive Director of Gillette India, marking the start of her next professional chapter after a two decade tenure at Procter & Gamble.
She announced this transition via a LinkedIn post.
Most recently, she served as Chief Sales Officer at Procter & Gamble from January 2025 to January 2026, where she led the company’s sales organisation and growth strategy.
Prior to that, she was Vice President and Country Manager – East Gulf (Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar) and Sales Strategy Gulf (+UAE) from January 2022 to December 2024, overseeing market operations and sales strategy across multiple Gulf markets.
Between March 2020 and December 2021, she held the role of Vice President Sales Strategy India and Marketing Leader for Olay and Old Spice India, driving category strategy and brand growth.
Earlier, she served as Director Sales Strategy and Planning Leader India and Marketing Head for Olay, Old Spice and Ambipur from April 2019 to March 2020, followed by her tenure as Associate Director – Modern Retail & E-Commerce between January 2016 and March 2019.
Her earlier leadership roles at Procter & Gamble include Regional Manager for Delhi and Rajasthan (April 2014 – December 2015) and Team Lead – Modern Retail (June 2012 – March 2014).
She also worked as Account Executive / Team Leader for the P&G Walmart International Team from February 2010 to May 2012, and as Trade Marketing Manager for Olay, Wella and Corporate from February 2008 to January 2010.
Earlier in her career, she held positions as Key Account Manager for Haryana (July 2007 – January 2008) and Key Account Manager for Tamil Nadu (June 2005 – July 2007), beginning what would become a more than 20 year journey with the organisation.
