Emaar India has appointed Rahul Taneja as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Taneja brings over two decades of leadership experience across real estate, consumer electronics, and telecommunications.
He announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post.
In his new role, Taneja will lead Emaar India’s marketing, focusing on product positioning, stronger marketing and sales alignment, digital transformation, and driving brand growth across the real estate portfolio.
Most recently, he served as Vice President and Marketing Head at M3M India from December 2022 to February 2026, where he led brand expansion and digital transformation, strengthened the company’s premium positioning, and drove major project launches in close collaboration with promoters.
Before moving into real estate, he spent nearly nine years at Samsung Electronics, most recently as DGM Visibility and Campaigns from January 2014 to November 2022. In this role, he led retail visibility and consumer experience initiatives across more than 3,000 touchpoints and managed large scale product launches.
He also introduced technology driven systems to improve marketing effectiveness and earlier served as Regional Marketing Head for key markets including Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Taneja also brings experience from the telecom sector, having served as Marketing Communication Head at Bharti Airtel for Kerala and Tamil Nadu from May 2012 to December 2013, and earlier worked at Sistema Shyam Teleservices for the Maharashtra circle.
His leadership journey includes a long stint at Vodafone Essar from June 2005 to December 2011, where he managed the transition from Hutch to Vodafone in Punjab and later led the Enterprise Sales division for large corporate and government clients.
Earlier, he held regional marketing roles at HDFC Life from April 2003 to June 2005.
