After being associated with McCann Worldgroup for a period of more than eight-and-a-half years, Rajit Gupta has now joined Cheil Worldwide as VP and Creative Head- CheilX Mumbai.

Unlike Cheil Worldwide which majorly manages the Samsung business, CheilX handles the business-connected agency’s non-Samsung businesses including TVS X, Vishal Mega Mart, etc.

He had joined McCann Worldgroup in September 2015 in the capacity of Senior Creative Director and was elevated to the role of Executive Creative Director at the agency in September 2020.

Before joining the Prasoon Joshi-led creative agency, he was associated with Contract India from December 2013 to August 2015 as Creative Director.

In his earlier stint with McCann Worldgroup which lasted for close to two years, starting March 2012, Gupta was the agency’s Associate Creative Director.

Prior to that, he was the Creative Group Head (Art) at Mudra Communications from July 2010 to March 2012 and Senior Art Director at Publicis India from July 2009 to July 2010.

He started his career as an Art Director at JWT in January 2006.
