Amazon Appoints Menka Asrani As Lead Studio

With over 16 years of experience in branded content, brand solutions and digital media strategy, Menka Asrani has joined Amazon as Lead Studio, bringing cross-platform expertise across streaming, television and digital ecosystems.

Amazon Appoints Menka Asrani As Lead Studio

Menka Asrani has been appointed Lead Studio at Amazon. Based in Mumbai, she will oversee studio-led brand and content initiatives.

She announced this move via a linkedin post.

Asrani was most recently Head Brand Solutions – BigBang.Social at Collective Artists Network from February 2025 to January 2026 in Mumbai.

Prior to that, she served as Head Branded Content (Creative) | Digital Ventures – JioCinema (Entertainment) at Viacom18 Media Private Limited from October 2021 to January 2025 in Mumbai. During this period, she led branded content initiatives and produced long-form and IP-led properties including the L’Oréal Professional Indian Hairdressing Awards reality series and Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films.

From October 2017 to September 2021, Asrani was Head of Sales Strategy and Brand Solutions at ZEE5, where she drove strategy through analytics and insights, developed content-led ad solutions, and defined propositions for new advertising products.

Between August 2014 and September 2017, she worked as Senior Manager Brand Solutions at Culture Machine Media, leading brand solutions across owned and operated channels and building intellectual properties such as Comedy Konkout and Streamy Awards while delivering customised solutions for over 100 brands.

Asrani earlier served as Assistant Manager Brand Solutions at The Walt Disney Company from July 2012 to February 2014 in Mumbai, where she conceptualised and executed multi-platform IPs and branded integrations across Bindass, UTV Stars and Disney Channels.

Before that, she was Assistant Manager – Brand Solutions at Bloomberg TV India from December 2011 to June 2012, handling branded content deals, awards properties and multi-format integrations.

She began her career at DB Corp as Senior Executive – Brand Solutions from March 2010 to December 2011 in Mumbai, where she led print and on-ground brand content initiatives.
