Rajasthan Royals & Lucknow Super Giants Take A Dig On Each Other On Twitter

| Published on January 27, 2022

Indians have always been fascinated with cricket. Of all the tournaments, IPL has been the one most loved by the masses and has had a successful run since 2008. Whenever the IPL season begins, Indians celebrate it like any other festival and is one of the most successful series ever.

The only year the series witnessed a halt was in the year the pandemic hit. Last year, IPL had a successful run as it became one of the most anticipated series of all time.

IPL 2022 is set to create a lot more buzz as it has two new teams added to it. This year Lucknow and Ahmedabad have been added as 2 new franchises.

For Team Lucknow, it is going to be an exciting first season with KL Rahul as their skipper. He will be paid Rs. 17 crores for his position in the team. Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis (Rs. 9.2 crores) and Indian cricketer Ravi Bishnoi (Rs. 4 crores) will also be the highlights of Lucknow Super Giants.

Once the team’s title was revealed everyone remembered Pune’s franchise, Rising Pune Supergiants. RPS played for two years (2016-2017) only, during which Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings were banned.

The two titles seemed quite similar and Rajasthan Royals took this opportunity to create a buzz on social media way before the season started.

Along with a meme of Paresh Rawal, Rajasthan Royals tweeted a post with the caption, “Pun(e) intended”  taking a direct dig on team Lucknow’s title announcement.

After Rajasthan Royals tweeted the post, Lucknow Super Giants gave a befitting reply which some may believe that they went a little too far. However, it was comeback like no other.

As much as we love this fun online banter between the teams, IPL fans are waiting desperately for the season to begin so that we may witness the much-awaited action on the field.
