Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani who is the chairman and founder of the Adani Group has announced to give Rs 100 crore contribution by the philanthropy arm his group to the PM Modi’s Fund to fight coronavirus outbreak.
Adani took to Twitter to make the announcement. “Adani Foundation is humbled to contribute Rs 100 crore to the #PMcaresfund in this hour of India’s battle against #COVID19,” he tweeted.

Earlier, the Adani Group had tweeted about additional contributions the group is trying to provide to the government to fight with the outbreak of the virus.
The announcement included a donation of Rs. 5 crores to the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Rs. 1 crore to the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Not only this, the Foundation has also provided over 1.2 lakh masks for the police and health workers as well as the community at large.
