Dentsu has elevated Surjo Dutt as CEO of Dentsu Creative Webchutney, in addition to his current role as Chief Creative Officer. He will continue reporting to Amit Wadhwa, CEO South, Dentsu Creative and Media Brands.
Within India, Dentsu Creative Webchutney will play a key role in advancing that vision alongside Dentsu Creative Isobar and Dentsu Creative PR. The move also aligns the agency more closely with Dentsu Creative’s global “Transformative Creativity” proposition, which powers the network across more than 145 countries.
In his expanded mandate, Dutt will lead the agency’s next phase of creative and business growth, focusing on strengthening client relationships, evolving its creative product for an AI-augmented future, and building on the agency’s reputation for culturally impactful work. He will also oversee talent development and help reinforce the agency’s position within the broader dentsu network.
Meanwhile, Indrajeet Mookherjee, outgoing CEO of Dentsu Creative Webchutney, has transitioned to the role of President – Integrated Client Management for South clients at dentsu.
