Amagi has launched AdFlow Orchestrator, a Placement Opportunity Information Service (POIS)-based tool aimed at improving ad delivery and monetisation across Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (FAST) and Connected TV (CTV) platforms. The solution has been showcased at NAB 2026.
The company has addressed a structural gap between traditional broadcast advertising formats and streaming platform requirements, where longer linear TV ad breaks have often led to ad server timeouts and lower fill rates on FAST platforms.
AdFlow Orchestrator has been built on the SCTE 130-5 POIS standard and has been designed to automatically restructure SCTE-35 ad markers based on distribution platform requirements. The system has operated alongside the video supply chain to align broadcast signals with streaming specifications and ensure valid and optimised ad opportunities.
The platform has introduced features such as automated splitting of long ad pods into shorter segments, dynamic replacement of static slates with interstitial content, and metadata enrichment using EPG data to improve CPM outcomes. It has also enabled stream event control capabilities, including input switching for blackout scenarios and alternate content triggers.
The solution has been deployed across more than 50 channels, where it has enabled content partners to meet platform requirements without modifying core playout workflows. Following implementation, partners have reported improved monetisation outcomes within a short period.
“The FAST landscape has matured, but revenue is often lost because Linear TV breaks aren’t natively built for the streaming ecosystem,” said Srinivasan KA, Co-founder and President – Global Business, Amagi. “AdFlow Orchestrator isn’t a workaround; it’s the right architecture, deployed where the problem actually lives. By automating the transition to compliant streaming breaks, we are not only seeing a direct impact on fill rates and a significant reduction in ad server time-outs — we’re also delivering the seamless viewer experience that streaming platforms demand.”
“As our FAST footprint grew, we faced increasing challenges in adapting our break structures to meet varying platform standards, which led to delivery inefficiencies and suppressed fill rates. Amagi’s tool automated this process seamlessly, enabling platform-specific ad break optimization without requiring changes to our core playout workflow. The impact on our monetization was noticeable almost immediately.” — Gonçalo Madeira, Chief Technology Officer, FUEL TV
