WPP has appointed Baiju Shah as its Group Chief Strategy Officer, while he continues in his current role as Global CEO of AKQA, a position he has held since July 2025. Shah announced the expanded role via his LinkedIn.
Shah joins the expanded remit after serving as Global Chief Strategy Officer and Global Gen AI Lead at Accenture’s Accenture Song from April 2022 to July 2025.
Prior to that, he spent more than 13 years within Accenture’s interactive and innovation businesses. Between March 2018 and April 2022, Shah was Chief Strategy Officer and Global Lead, Growth & Product Innovation at Accenture Interactive. Earlier, he served as Managing Director (Partner), Strategy & Innovation from September 2008 to March 2018.
Alongside these responsibilities, Shah was Global Lead at Fjord from May 2013 to September 2020, playing a key role in scaling the design and innovation consultancy’s global footprint.
Earlier in his career, he was Partner and Managing Director at Accenture Technology Labs from 1997 to 2008, where he focused on emerging technologies and innovation.
Beyond the corporate world, Shah has also been associated with academia, serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management/MMM Program since December 2020.
