Top Upcoming IPOs In 2022

IPOs were the buzzword, with a record number of them being held in 2021. On an average, there was an IPO happening every week, with 65 total mainboard IPOs and if we include Small and Medium enterprise IPOs too, the number doubles. Infact, the first and the last day of the year saw IPOs taking place, with Antony Waste IPO getting listed on January 1st and CMS Info Systems on December 31st. With a record collection by four major IPOs-Zomato, Paytm, Nykaa and Policybazaar, a total of around INR 39,000 crore was collected.

And the year 2022 does not seem to slow down on the IPO front. Here’s a list of some IPOs that have already been held, and some that are touted to be held this year.

1. Wellness Forever Medicare

The IPO consists of a fresh issue of equity shares of upto INR 400 crores and an offer for sale of upto 1.6 crore equity shares. The dates of the IPO are yet to be announced.

2. Emcure Pharma

Emcure Pharma IPO’s issue size is approximately around Rs. 4,500 – Rs. 5,000 crores, comprising of a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs. 1,100 crores with an offer for sale of 18,168,356 shares.

3. Campus Actiwear

The IPO is totally an offer for sale (OFS) of 5.1 crore equity shares by promoters and the current shareholders.

4. Droom

A technology and data science company that facilitates online automobile buying and selling, Droom will be opting for a private placement of equity shares amounting to INR 400 crore.

5. Adani Wilmar

The IPO was held on January 27th to January 31st 2022. The value was for INR 36,000 crore.

6. Urban Company

Valued at $2.1 billion, this Gurugram-based startup raised $255 million in Series F round of funding led by Dragoneer, Prosus Ventures and Wellington Management.

7. LIC

The most anticipated IPO of the year was held from 10th march-14th march. The IPO size was around 1,00,000 crore and 10% of shares were proposed to be allotted to current policyholders.

8. Apeejay Surendra Park Hotels

A renowned name in the hospitality sector, the company’s IPO comprises will comprise of a fresh issue of up to ₹400 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to ₹600 crore, according to merchant banking sources.

9. Ola

The company plans to go public by the end of the first half of the year. The company wants to raise around INR 15,000 crore, that may see the company achieving valuation around $12-14 billion.

10. Ixigo

The travel booking front, Ixigo, is looking to raise INR 1600 crore, which would be in a combination of fresh issue of shares worth INR 750 crores and OFS of equity shares worth INR 850 crores by existing shareholders.

11. Keventer Agro

A part of the Keventer group, Keventer Agro is proposing to raise INR 800 crore, that will used for funding capital requirements and also reducing debt.

12. Mobikwik

Source

Digital payment platform Mobikwik recently turned into a unicorn. Its IPO is expected to worth INR 1900 crore that will have offering of fresh shares worth upto INR 1,500 crore and INR 400 crore offer for sale.

Apart from these, Hexagon nutrition, Bikaji Foods International, CMR Green Technologies, Delhivery, Bharat FIH, Snapdeal and another 35 plus companies are expected to host IPOs in 2022.

Mother Dairy is targeting a 20% increase in revenue to over Rs 24,000 crore in FY27, backed by rising consumer demand and plans to expand into new markets, according to media reports. As per media reports, the dairy major recorded a turnover of Rs 20,300 crore in FY26, up 17% year-on-year. The company has more than doubled its revenue over the last five years, crossing the Rs 20,000-crore milestone. As part of its growth strategy, Mother Dairy is looking to strengthen its presence outside Delhi-NCR. Chairman Meenesh Shah said the company is exploring entry into new markets where it currently has limited or no presence. The company is also setting up a dairy plant in Maharashtra, has leased a facility in Hyderabad, and is establishing a second plant in Bihar. Managing Director Jayateertha Chary said sales in the first two months of the fiscal have been encouraging, with ice cream emerging as a strong-performing category. Reports also suggest that from Mother Dairy’s FY26 turnover, the dairy business contributed more than Rs 15,000 crore, while edible oils and horticulture accounted for around Rs 5,000 crore. Around 63% of revenue came from Delhi-NCR, with the remainder generated from other parts of the country. The company currently reaches more than 95 cities across India and operates nine milk processing plants, four horticulture processing plants and 16 associated edible oil facilities.
