Their expertise and finance can help turn ideas into reality thereby profiting society on the whole. Here’s presenting a list of active angel investors in the country, who are making Indian business look good and favorable.

1. Girish Mathrubootam

Girish is the founder and CEO of the most successful customer support software provider, Freshworks. With an expertise in finding the right product for every customer, he is known to be the go-to person for any customer-based product. 2. Dheeraj Jain

The Director at Redcliffe Capital, Dheeraj’s interest lies in various fields, in which he has made many a valuable contribution. 3. Anupam Mittal

4. Anand Ladsariya

The ex-chairman of Chemexcil, Anand Ladsariya is the founder of chemical manufacturing company Everest Flavours. He has invested in more than 90 startups and it’s the presence of a strong team that drives his decisions in making investments, in his areas of interest like customer-support tools, content discovery, social media, games and location-based services. He has invested in major brand names like Myntra, Mobiquest, Assured Risk, Appsdaily, Oyo rooms, Asiatic and Uniphore.

5. Amit Somani

A managing partner at Prime Venture Partners, Amit Somani has lead various teams at Google and has also been the Chief Products Officer at MakeMyTrip. He invests in domains like consumer internet and travel. His past investments include Ixigo.com, HotelTravel.com, MindTickle and Qikwell Technologies India.

6. Sachin Bansal

The co-founder of Flipkart, Sachin Bansal needs not much of an introduction. Just that if one is looking for someone to be mentored in turning one’s idea into reality, Sachin Bansal is your go-to person. With interests in SAAS, Internet Services, Media & Entertainment, online commerce, Sachin has invested in a plethora of startups like Inshorts, SpoonJoy, Plabro Networks, Unacademy and Tracxn.

7. Kunal Shah

CRED founder and CEO, Kunal Shah’s first startup attempt was Paisaback, a platform that provided cash-back promotions for organized retailers. His investments include Unacademy, Pianta, Cookifi, Bharat Bazaar, RazorPay, Inc42, Innov8 Coworking and Shaadisaga.

8. Sandeep Tandon

The co-founder of Freecharge, a mobile wallet and the Managing director at Tandon technology ventures and Infinix Healthcare, Sandeep investment interests lie in areas like Fintech, Healthcare, education and internet services. Today, with investments in Fabelio, pocket Aces, Ziploan, Tablehero, Inc42, Unacademy, he invested in 23 startups in 2017.

9. Rajan Anandan

Rajan Anandan’s investments are not just limited to Indian startups, but also Sri Lankan. He favors to invest in B2B startups in partnership, and is one of the most active angel investors in the country since 2017. The Managing Director of Sequoia Capital, Rajan has investments in Instamojo, Travelkhana, Explara, LBB, Letsventure and PopXo.

10. Ratan Tata

The grand personality in Indian business, Ratan Tata is also an active angel investor in the country. He hasn’t just financed startups but also mentored and given advice to a number of other businesses, ventures and programs. His past investments include Xiaomi, Urban Ladder, Snapdeal, UrbanClap, YourStory, Lybrate, Crayon Data, Cashkaro, Bombay Hemp Company, DogSpot, Invictus Oncology, Bollant, MUrgency, Idea Chakki and a host of other startups too.

Mother Dairy is targeting a 20% increase in revenue to over Rs 24,000 crore in FY27, backed by rising consumer demand and plans to expand into new markets, according to media reports. As per media reports, the dairy major recorded a turnover of Rs 20,300 crore in FY26, up 17% year-on-year. The company has more than doubled its revenue over the last five years, crossing the Rs 20,000-crore milestone. As part of its growth strategy, Mother Dairy is looking to strengthen its presence outside Delhi-NCR. Chairman Meenesh Shah said the company is exploring entry into new markets where it currently has limited or no presence. The company is also setting up a dairy plant in Maharashtra, has leased a facility in Hyderabad, and is establishing a second plant in Bihar. Managing Director Jayateertha Chary said sales in the first two months of the fiscal have been encouraging, with ice cream emerging as a strong-performing category. Reports also suggest that from Mother Dairy’s FY26 turnover, the dairy business contributed more than Rs 15,000 crore, while edible oils and horticulture accounted for around Rs 5,000 crore. Around 63% of revenue came from Delhi-NCR, with the remainder generated from other parts of the country. The company currently reaches more than 95 cities across India and operates nine milk processing plants, four horticulture processing plants and 16 associated edible oil facilities.
