Omnicom Media Group has been set to win Adidas’ global media account, valued at approximately $512 million. The account has previously been handled by WPP’s EssenceMediacom.
The media account has reportedly been contested by Omnicom Media Group, WPP, and Publicis Groupe during the review process. Mediacom had originally secured the Adidas business in 2018 before merging with Essence in 2023 to form EssenceMediacom.
The Adidas account has been expected to be led by PHD, Omnicom Media Group’s media agency, which manages brands including Volkswagen, Google, and 7-Eleven.
