First of all, you have to think about a creative and original idea, then the problem of raising funds arrives and if you manage to achieve these, turning a startup profitable is very difficult in this competitive market.

According to the Hurun rich list of 2018, there are 19 Indian entrepreneurs with a net worth of over Rs. 1000 crore. All these entrepreneurs manage unicorn startups and are very young in age. Also, most of these companies were founded in the last decade or so. Below are India’s richest startup founders with their net worths.

1. Deepinder Goyal: Zomato


Net worth: Rs. 1000 crore

Founder Deepinder Goyal’s net worth has reached at Rs. 1000 crore. The company has raised a fresh round of funding from Alibaba and launched a very successful loyalty program in Zomato Gold.

Net worth: Rs. 1,300 crore

Sriharsha Majety had started Swiggy after a 4000 km solo trip around Europe. Swiggy’s now India’s biggest food delivery startup with its valuation crossing past $1 billion.

Net worth: Rs. 1,500 crore

Ankit Bhati has been Ola’s CTO since its inception. Because of his shareholding in the company, he now has a net worth of Rs. 1,500 crore.

4. Riju Ravindran: Byju’s

Net worth: Rs. 1,600 crore

Riju Ravindran is Byju’s Raveendran’s younger brother and has a whopping net-worth of Rs 1600 crore.

5. Ritesh Agarwal: Oyo Rooms

Net worth: Rs. 2,600 crore

After the latest funding, Oyo’s valuation is now more than the market caps of India’s top 4 hotel chains combined. Due to this, founder Ritesh Agarwal has net-worth of over Rs. 2,600 crore.

6. Byju Raveendran: Byju’s

Net worth: Rs. 3,300 crore

Byju’s is now close to being profitable and has also entered India’s Unicorn club. Being the only founder of a Byju Raveendran now has a net worth of Rs. 3,300 crore.

7. Bhavish Agarwal: Ola

Net worth: Rs. 3,900 crore

Ola has expanded into Australia, the UK, and New Zealand, making founder Bhavish Agarwal’s net worth to reach Rs. 3,900 crore.

8. Sachin Bansal: Flipkart


Net worth: Rs. 6,200 crore

After leaving Flipkart, Sachin Bansal has estimated net-worth ofRs. 6,200 crore. He is now spending time with his son, playing video games, watching movies, and taking long walks.

Net worth: Rs. 7,100 crore

Rajaram remained on the top for a few years as India’s richest entrepreneur.  He is still among the top 10 richest entrepreneurs in the country.

11. Vijay Shekhar Sharma: Paytm

Net worth: Rs. 10,500 crore

Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma has had an amazing year so far. The company is expanding to new industries. After, Berkshire Hathway’s investment Paytm values over $10 billion, and Vijay Shekhar Sharma’s net worth is now close to Rs. 10,500 crore.

12. Divyank Turakhia,

Net worth: Rs. 11,600 crore, which was sold last year to a Chinese company for a record $900 million has made Divyank as India’s richest startup founder with a net worth of Rs. 11,600 crore
