| Published on October 17, 2017

An Indian origin teenager named Akshay Ruparelia has become the youngest millionaire in the UK. His online estate agency business is estimated to have a value of 12 million pounds in just under 16 months of the website going live. He started a website called Doorstep.co.uk where he used to sell houses online during the lunchtime.

For starting the company he borrowed 7,000 pounds from his relatives and soon his work started getting results. He was sure that he can provide the house selling service at much lesser rates as compared to others and he was able to do so.

On selling his first house he told in an interview “I had to pay my sister’s boyfriend 40 pounds to drive me to Sussex to take photographs of the house, as I hadn’t passed my driving test and didn’t have a car.”

He was getting so many calls that he decided to hire a call center to attend calls for him during the school periods and now he has a vast network of self-employed mothers who show clients the properties they are interested in. Akshay also revealed that the idea of starting up a small business came to his mind after reading the biography of no-frills airline Ryanair founder Michael O Leary.

Both of his parents are deaf and he learned the sign language for them which helped in bringing a lot of creativity in his mind. His father, Kaushik is a care worker and mother, Renuka is a teaching assistant for deaf children.

This story is good enough to give a number of business goals for people who are seeking for some motivation.
