India has made an image of a country with talented minds and this has been proven again as a student of IIT Hyderabad Sneha Reddy has broken all the records of the institution by getting hired from Google at an annual pay package of Rs 1.2 crore. This is the highest package received by a student in the IIT-Hyderabad’s history since it was established in 2008.

Sneha Reddy has been selected for Google Intelligence project and had received the medal under ‘Excellence in Academics and Co-curricular activities’ from President Ram Nath Kovind. To get a job in Google, Reddy passed 4 rounds of online test that Google conducted and she had to go to the US for the final round. Unfortunately, she could not make it but Google conducted the final round online due to her excellent response in previous rounds.
Sneha belongs to Vikarabad and her father works in a software firm in Hyderabad. She said that IIT-Hyderabad had encouraged its students towards experiments and “helped her a lot in getting selected for Google’s project”.
Interestingly, the topper of the same batch, Ibrahim Dalal, bagged a Rs 35 lakh per annum package. IIT Hyderabad hasn’t revealed the complete placement report for the academic session 2017-18. Several corporate giants participated in the placement season during June & July. The campus placement in May 2018 had witnessed the participation of top companies and the highest package offered was Rs. 40 lakh per annum. The average package offered to selected students was Rs. 11.5 lakh per annum.
We wish her congratulations for making the country proud at the International level.
