How Navjot Singh Sidhu’s Controversy Is Impacting The Kapil Sharma Show

Kapil Sharma is popular for his comedy timing and instant replies. His hard work has made him India’s most love comedian but it seems like controversies aren’t going to leave him soon.

The first season of The Kapil Sharma Show ended the fight with co-star Sunil Grover and the new season is also making news not only for being hit but because of the comments Navjot Singh Sidhu made post-Pulwama attacks.

Sidhu’s controversial comment

“For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished,” Sidhu was quoted as saying.

He received backlash from users online and as a result, he was boycotted from the show and Archana Puran Singh was seen on the seat of Sidhu.

After that, Kapil came in front to show his support for Sidhu questioning how a ban on a person will help the country. However, his support is working in oppose to the popularity of the show.

Shilpa Shinde also came in support and said that banning someone is not the solution. In response, she got trolled and received threats on Twitter.

The seriousness of the issue can be imagined from the fact that #BoycottKapilSharma started trending on Twitter. People are asking boycott of Kapil Sharma too. Although his fans and the TV industry is in support of Kapil still the TRP is facing decline.
