Einstein Believed Indians Were Stupid? His Diary Reveals So

Albert Einstein who quoted the famous saying on racism “Racism is a disease of white people” seems to have been diagnosed with the same disease. His diary entries during an Asia tour proves so. Those entries have been made public and have initiated a debate on race and of people from India, Sri Lanka, and China.

Einstein was a Jewish scientist who was targeted by the Nazis and became an advocate for human rights. He once said in an interview, “Being a Jew myself, perhaps I can understand and empathize with how black people feel as victims of discrimination.” but his diary is revealing something else.
Einstein seems to have believe that “biologically inferior” were hampered by the subcontinent’s climate that “prevented them from thinking backward or forward by more than a quarter of an hour.”
The climate prevents them [Indians] from thinking backward or forward by more than a quarter of an hour this is the original wording. The entries are from Einstein’s travels to the Far East, Palestine and Spain between October 1922 & March 1923.
His writings were previously available in German and Princeton University Press has published the first full English-language edition of his travel diary. The Chinese are incapable of being trained to think logically and that they specifically have no talent for mathematics.” he wrote about China.

“I noticed how little difference there is between men and women; I don’t understand what kind of fatal attraction Chinese women possess which enthrals the corresponding men to such an extent that they are incapable of defending themselves against the formidable blessing of offspring.” a column of his diary reads.
These statements show that Einstein was a racist. He believed that biological origin is connected with the intelligence of a person’s mind, this is probably the reason why Einstein said that Asians are inferior in terms of discovering new things.
