The 2018 list of most trusted brands in India is out and there are not many surprises on this list. TRA Research every year prepares the list of most trusted brands and this years list had over 2,450 votes across 16 cities. Such reports reveal a lot about what makes Indians trust a brand and buy products. Marketers can study these brands to find out the reasons for their success in India. Check out the top 10 brands on this list below:

10. Maruti Suzuki

Maruti Suzuki dropped by three positions from its 2017 rank and stands at number 10 in India’s most trusted brands’ list.

9. Hewlett-Packard

Source

American multinational company HP is trusted for its quality products and service it provides post selling. HP is ranked number 9 on this list.

8. Nike

Source

Nike has been gaining trust among Indian customers from past few years and its growth can be guessed after comparing the previous years ranking which 49 in 2015, 48 in 2016 and 37 in 2017 to rank 8 in 2018.

7. Honda

Source

Popular Japanese auto brand Honda dropped by one position and ranks number 7 in the list in 2018.

6. Dell

Source

Technology services and products provider Dell has again attained a place in top 10 and ranks number six and has seen an increment of 2 positions compared to last year.

5. Apple

The popularity of Apple is inspiring but the consumer electronics has dropped by 1 position in this list as other brands are now introducing products with the latest technology. Also, the battery issue in old iPhones can be the reason for this drop.

4. Tata Group

Source

Tata is the only Indian brand in top 5 and has managed to rise by 1 position as compared to last year’s rank.

3. LG

Source

LG is among those brands which consumers in India trust blindly in terms of buying electronic goods. Its showrooms are available all across the country with a variety of products.

2. SONY

Source

Another consumer electronics brand which trusted Indians for its quality products and reliability. SONY products are a bit higher in prices but considered as value for money.

1. Samsung

Source

Even after the entry of so many new names, Samsung hasn’t lost its trust in India. Samsung produces products with latest technologies and keeping the price range of Indians in mind.

SBI is the leader in the financial and insurance sector, Pepsi is the most trusted soft drink brand while Patanjali has emerged as the leader in FMCG industry.
