A lot of people don’t like to talk about their contribution to any work as they feel that it is shameful to do so. Well, it is nothing like that in real and sometimes self-promotion can do wonders to your image and can help you to get better work opportunities. You don’t have to brag every time about yourself with long stories to promote what you do, instead, be very simple short and to the point about your qualities.

2. Don’t hesitate

Source

Don’t hesitate when you are expressing your views on any subject. If it is possible, never copy thoughts of others and make sure you look into the eyes of the person you are talking with.

3. Share what you know

If you have a skill that is unique, never hide it. Also, share your experiences and knowledge with others as it will make them more comfortable around you.

5. Make your social media profiles look proffessional

Don’t forget to clean up your social media profiles. Add your hobbies which shows your interest in the work you are doing. Clean up the extra things and always use your own profile image on the profile.

6. Praise others

If you feel uncomfortable in promoting yourself, this strategy will help you to achieve your goals without talking too much about yourself. Praise about your co-workers and what you learned from them.

7. Share the feedbacks

If you get a positive e-mail or message about your work, always share it with your co-workers so that they can know that people are actually liking your work. It is nothing to hide about as long as you are sharing the negative comments also.

8. Speak clearly

Be confident when you talk about yourself. No one likes to hear someone who has low energy. If you really love what you do, it can be seen easily in your talks.
