Senior IAS Officer and current Secretary of the Department of Land Resources, Nidhi Khare, has been named the new Consumer Affairs Secretary to succeed incumbent Rohit Kumar Singh who is due to retire this month-end.
According to an official order issued by Personnel Ministry, she has been appointed as the officer on special duty in the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Prior to joining Department of Land Resources, Khare also served as Chief Commissioner at CCPA and Special Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
She will take over as Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution upon superannuation of Singh on March 31, as per the order.
