Malaysian Researchers Are Paying INR 26,500 To Contestants To Just Go To Sleep

If there is any dream job in the world that everyone would want to do, it has to be this!

A research which is being carried out at the University of Malaya, Malaysia, requires participants to sleep. The contestants are required to go to sleep, and do nothing else. The poster of this has gone viral, along with information about its prize money, which is around INR 26,500.

People who are eligible, can partake in the study. The eligibility criteria involve- participants should be in the age group of 20-40, have an average body weight and should have no problem in sleeping in their sleep house at Subang.

The participants will have to undergo a screening procedure, only after which will they be qualified. Once qualified, they will be allowed to enter the sleeping house. Contestants will stay in a dormitory for a month and will be supervised. They can avail the prize money on completing 30 nights of sleep in the sleeping house.

However, if any sleeping condition is discovered in any contestant, he or she will be disqualified.

The response has been fantastic to say the least, and so, the registration has been closed.
However, this isn’t the first time something like this is happening.

In order to study the effects of microgravity in 2017, France’s Institute of Space Medicine and Physiology encouraged participants to sleep in bed for three months. The position pays well with a salary of 16,000 Euro (approximately Rs 11.2 lakh), to the group of researchers.
With sleep being an invaluable asset towards building a healthy mind and body, work like this becomes play and is highly welcomed.
