The TRA Research which is a part of the Comniscient Group, is a Data Insights and Brand Intelligence Company. Its Brand Trust Report (BTR) is an annual consumer-influencer syndicated research, that is conducted over various cities. The results of the same are out, and Dell has been ranked as the most trusted brand for the third consecutive year.
Dell, on number one position, is followed by Mi Mobiles which for the second year has emerged the mobile phone category leader. Samsung Mobiles is third, and all of these three brands have secured the same place for the past two years.
LG televisions has come fourth, and is the winner in the television category. Amazon has come fifth and LIC is sixth on the list. BMW is seventh, after climbing 12 places from the previous year report. Legendary brand Titan is eight and Lenovo which has climbed a whopping 63 spots from the previous year, has finished ninth. Samsung in the consumer electronics–diversified category is tenth on the list.
Sony Entertainment television Hindi-GEC clinched the eleventh spot followed by Honda at the twelfth position. Tata salt is thirteenth and Tanishq has climbed 34 spots to come fourteenth. ICICI Bank is fifteenth on the list of the most trusted brands this year.
The list of brands occupying 16th-20th positions, have seen drop in ranks. Samsung television fell seven places to come sixteenth. Surprisingly, Apple iPhone fell twelve places to come seventeenth. Vivo has come eighteenth followed by L.G refrigerators, and Maruti Suzuki has finished twentieth.
With 304 categories and 34 super-categories listed in the report, the list has extensive research and analysis carried out every year. A few category leaders worth mentioning are AO Smith in the water heaters category, AU Small Bank in the small finance bank category, Aviva in private life insurance category, boAt in the audio equipment category, Godrej Interio in furniture, KidZee in pre-school’s, Lenskart in opticals category, Nivea in skincare, Reliance Trends in value- fashion retail and Wagh Bakri in tea category.
“This year’s report is different in that some group brands have gained substantially over others. For the first time, 36 Tata group brands have entered the list, followed by Godrej with nine brands. Amul, LG, M&M, Samsung have eight brands each and Reliance has seven brands featured in the report,” N. Chandramouli, CEO, TRA Research, said.
