The West Have Discovered A ‘Monkey Cap’ & Indians Have A Lot To Say About It

The Winter season in India is embraced with lots of love. Many people are excited to layer up with some of the trendiest jackets and coats. The love people have for winter wear is really absurd in some ways.

But those born in the 90s & 80s may have a different feel about the winter wardrobe. A typical Indian family has never been a fan of expensive clothes no matter what the weather is like.

Many of us have been the victims of the ugly-looking monkey cap that was the most common clothing article. Mother’s used to smothering their children into wearing one even if we hated it. Not just children, in fact, Indians have always been using these monkey caps to safeguard themselves.

And it is safe to say, the woolen caps do have many pros. Despite the hideous look, the caps do have a way of making the chilly winds bearable. And whoever designed the caps did do a brilliant job.

While Indians of all ages have been wearing these monkey caps for decades and even centuries. Nobody knows exactly how back they go but we know it has been here since forever. However, it seems that the west has just discovered its magic.

Looking at the emergence of the pandemic and the need to wear a mask with anything and everything you wear, an apparel company has designed a woolen cap that looks awfully similar to that of a monkey cap.

While the design is appealing, Indians have not taken it lightly and are having some of the most hilarious reactions to this woolen cap.

As an Indian I wanna file a copyright claim on behalf of monkey caps.
