Actresses today are showing the world that it is possible to manage more than one thing at a time. Apart from acting, a few are into business as well. We all know of Twinkle Khanna who stands to be a sought-after interior designer, a columnist and an author and are aware of Lara Dutta owning a production company Bheegi Basanti and launching her own fitness DVD collection on prenatal yoga. Let’s check a few more actresses who adorned the businesswomen hats in style!

1. Anushka Sharma


This multi-faceted woman has her own production company ‘Clean Slate Films’ having produced movies like NH10, Pari, Phillauri, Bulbbul and Paatal Lok. She co-owns the company with her brother Karnesh Sharma. She has also launched a clothing brand called ‘Nush’ that has clothing for everyday fashion.

2. Deepika Padukone

She started her career as a model and went on to become one of the highest-paying Bollywood actresses. In 2015, Deepika launched the Live Laugh love Foundation that helps and extends support to people suffering from depression and anxiety. An active investor in retail consumer focused startups, she invested in a yoghurt maker-Epigamia, which was backed by french food maker Danone and has also invested in Purplle. She also owns an apparel label ‘All bout You’ that has been launched on Myntra and owns a production house by the name Ka productions.

3. Priyanka Chopra


Quantico star Priyanka Chopra does not just rule Bollywood, but also has a strong presence in Hollywood too. She also owns production company ‘Purple Pebble Productions’ that produced movies like Ventilator and The Sky is Pink. She recently launched her vegan hair care line called Anomaly and also has a restaurant in New York called ‘Sona’

4. Katrina Kaif


Katrina Kaif, launched her own beauty brand “Kay Beauty” in association with Nykaa. Her brand propagates complete skin care primarily for Asian skin. She benefitted immensely from the recently held Nykaa IPO.

5. Alia Bhatt


Alia Bhatt is one actress to look out for. With her impressive singing, dancing and acting ruling hearts, she is also a businesswoman extraordinaire! She launched her sustainable clothing line – Ed-a-Mamma on FirstCry. She has also invested in Nykaa, just like Katrina Kaif. And has a production company to her credit too called-Eternal Sunshine.

7.Sonam Kapoor


The Bollywood diva and style icon Sonam Kapoor, along with her sister Rhea launched their apparel and accessories brand Rheson that offers high-street fashion at affordable prices.

8. Malaika Arora


The Bollywood dancer and fitness enthusiast Malaika Arora has invested in a yoga and wellness center SARVA Yoga under which comes DIVA Yoga, which was started by herself.

9. Karisma Kapoor


Though Karisma Kapoor has not been gracing the silver screen for some time now, she is one revered actresses of her time. The Raja Hindustani actress has invested in an e-commerce portal BabyOye that deals in mother and child care products and owns 25%share in the portal owned by Nest ChildCare Services Pvt ltd.

10. Shilpa Shetty


Shilpa Shetty launched her real-estate company “Groupco Developers” in 2013 for developing housing projects.
