Indian Brands That Have Come Forward To Help Jet Airways’ Displaced Employees

The Jet Airways’ shutdown has been very disheartening for the customers as well as for the employees who worked for it. After all the operations were shut down on 19th April this year, many start-ups and companies came forward and offered jobs to the affected Jet Airways’ employees.

Several Businesses have offered to help:

1. SpiceJet

Spicejet has already hired around 500 employees, including 100 pilots, from its rival and is planning to recruit more. The SpiceJet Chairman, Ajay Singh, said that he is feeling very unfortunate for the employees of Jet Airways, and is willing to give first preference to those who have recently lost their jobs, which would even help them to grow their business.

2. Bounce

Bounce is a bike sharing startup, which has come forward to help the affected people from the unfortunate closure of Jet Airways. The founder of Bounce, Vivekananda Hallekere said that they would like to hire few folks as well. He exclaimed how Jet’s employees worked hard to make others fly all these years. He hoped that it works as a mutually good fit for whoever is looking for work for startups growing at great velocity.

We would like to hire few folks as well. You have made us fly for all these years, hope it works as a mutual good fit for whoever is looking to work for start up growing at great velocity. Mail at [email protected] https://t.co/PFdbiORQoT

3. CureFit

CureFit was founded by a former Flipkart executive Ankit Nagori, in 2016. It is an aggressively expanding business, which has raised a funding of over Rs. 1000 crore. He tweeted and exclaimed how sad he sees the event of Jet Airways’ shutdown to turn out. He added that lots of employees must have been looking for new opportunities, and said to feel free to apply or refer anyone who might be interested in doing a job.

The time of distress

Even though it would take a while for all the employees of Jet Airways to get new roles, it is so overwhelming to see how companies and start-ups are stepping up to help in whatever way they can, in this time of distress. Jet Airways has been the largest airline company for almost a decade, but the only fitting that faltered was the smooth landing of its employees in the hour of distress.
