ZebPay has elevated Anuj Kumar Garg as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Bala Pulavarthi as Vice President – Engineering as part of its leadership restructuring aimed at strengthening the company’s technology and engineering functions.
The company has stated that both leaders have taken responsibility for driving its long-term technology roadmap, scalability initiatives, and operational operations. They have previously contributed to the company’s engineering and blockchain infrastructure, including platform scalability, wallet infrastructure, digital asset security, and product development.
Prior to his elevation, Garg had served as Vice President – Engineering at ZebPay for more than four years. As CTO, he has taken charge of the company’s engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, DevOps, and data functions. He has also been tasked with leading AI-led initiatives and overseeing technology strategy and execution. Garg brings over 25 years of experience across blockchain, artificial intelligence, automation, and enterprise transformation.
Alongside Garg’s appointment, ZebPay has elevated Bala Pulavarthi as Vice President – Engineering. With more than 13 years of industry experience, including over a decade in the blockchain sector, Pulavarthi has contributed to the company’s blockchain infrastructure, wallet architecture, digital asset operations, and platform security. In his new role, he has been responsible for strengthening engineering capabilities and supporting the company’s technology infrastructure.
The appointments have come at a time when the digital asset industry has seen growing institutional participation, increased adoption of blockchain-based applications, and greater focus on compliance, security, and technology infrastructure.
