Samsung Eyeing To Make It Bigger And Better With Note 8 Launch

Samsung has been quite a name in producing their Galaxy 8 series. But a lot of news about the batteries exploding and also other competitors in the market seems to have created a bit competition.

After launching Galaxy S8, Samsung is now trying to make its Note 8 striking from its Galaxy S8. When it was launched back first in 2011, such a huge screen display of 5.3 inches was an instant hit in the market. But nowadays that’s quite normal. A normal iPhone has 5.5 display screen. Samsung’s Galaxy S8 screen is 5.8 inches, while the Galaxy S8 Plus is 6.2 inches. On road to make it larger than ever, if rumors are believed then Note 8 will have a display screen of 6.4 inches.

But size won’t be the only factor to attract an audience for the Note. Striking features should be prominent that would make the Note stand out from the S8 series. Samsung will unveil the feature on a launch in New York on Wednesday.

“What’s in this Note that’s going to blow people away and is going to be very different from a Galaxy S?” Creative Strategies analyst Carolina Milanesi said. “I don’t what that is.”

With the advent of other smartphones in the market when Samsung’s huge screen display was no more a striking feature, the company came up with other features. Samsung started experimenting with flashy new hardware and software in its Note lineup. Samsung is highly possessive about its Galaxy series on contrast to the Note. So they have the freedom to keep on experimenting with the note line up.

DJ Koh, head of Samsung’s mobile business, said: “better, safer and very innovative Note 8.”

Samsung is already suffering from battery issues and yet another blow might result fatally for the company with their other counterparts going well in the market.

“It’s fair to assume that Samsung is pulling out all the stops in terms of quality control to ensure that the next version of the Note has no battery issues,” GlobalData analyst Avi Greengart said.

According to rumors, the Note 8 will have Samsung’s new Infinity Display that features very thin bezels and crams a larger screen into a smaller package. Samsung could make tweaks to the fingerprint reader, whose placement next to the camera lens on the back of the Galaxy S8 annoyed many people.

The note has always been Samsung’s exclusive phones with high price tagging. According to market strategists, Note 8 could cost $900.

“There are some people who care about status and will buy it just for that,” Jackdaw Research analyst Jan Dawson said.

Let’s see how Samsung pulls this off with the market conditions and how new features are added.
