Anand Mahindra Is ‘Unhappy’ With The New Apple iPad Pro, See Why

| Published on January 19, 2019

Apple iPhone is facing a tough time in India as its sales are falling. Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra is the latest one to show his unhappiness on the new Apple iPad Pro. To make it more clear for you, Mahindra looks to be disliking the device for the reason that he will have to carry separate chargers for his iPhone and the new iPad.

Being very active on microblogging site Twitter, Anand Mahindra said:

“Got a new iPad & found that the lightning connector’s been replaced. So need a new charger which doesn’t work with my iPhone & new earphones too. More junk when I travel. Great strategy to boost accessory sales, but not surprised more folks are sticking to existing models”

in a recent tweet that went viral.

Interestingly, he used an Android device to tweet this.

Mahindra also complained about the existing earphones for the iPhone that will not work with the new iPad Pro. He is angry on the fact that he will have to carry other earphones to connect to the iPad.

“To solve the earphones problem, switching to Apple Airpods should help but as far as charging adapters are concerned, there is no one-accessory solution,

he believes.

While Apple is pushing the use of Type-C connector for MacBooks and iPads, the tech giant did not opt for the same in the 2018 iPhones. Also, Apple has retained one standard USB port (Type-A) on the MacBook Pro, there are none in the new MacBook and MacBook Air. Both the MacBook and MacBook Air come with Type-C ports only and thankfully, the 3.5mm headphone jack is still retained in both.
