Problems seem not to end for Airline companies in our country. All of them are experiencing big losses and to compensate that, they are trying new strategies which have failed till now. Indigo recently confirmed about charging extra money on web check-ins and this started a debate online.
As per our revised policy, all seats will be chargeable for web check-in. Alternatively, you may check-in at the airport for free. Seats will be assigned as per the availability. ~Prabh

Users on social media opposed this decision and demanded relief from the airline authorities. Even big corporate names including Vijay Shekhar Sharma expressed concerned but it looks like nothing gonna change this scenario for passengers.
ICYMI. All Indigo web checked-in are charged now. I thought DIY was the way forward for businesses. https://t.co/Cf5DUl0jT3

Trying to take the benefit of this situation, Indian Railways has played a smart move which is gathering attention from people all across the country.
Tweeting about their service and affordable rates, Ministry of Railways wrote “No need to pay extra charges for Web-Checkins. No long queues for checking in your luggage. Avoid unreasonable tariff & reduce your carbon footprint by travelling on the good old Indian Railways at affordable rates.” along with an image reading “Why pay a premium for web-checkins on flights…when you can just take a train?”

The tweet has got mixed replies as some are praising the marketing tactic while others are cursing Railways for their poor quality services. Have a look at some of the responses:
Kudos for the tweet
Kudos for the tweet at the same time if cleanliness and punctuality can be maintained surely railways can be highly preferred

Nice advertisement. But beware
🙂 Nice advertisement. But beware – 1) may have to book exactly 4 months in advance or get WL-ed, wait till last day, try for tatkal and still not get confirmed; 2) If travel by sleeper class, be prepared to put up with scores of unreserved passengers making travel miserable.
