JioStar has promoted Nidhi Maheshwari to the role of Senior Director – Brand Marketing, marking a new chapter in her nearly four-year journey with the company’s streaming business. She announced the new role via her LinkedIn.
Prior to the elevation, Maheshwari served as Director of Brand Marketing from November 2025 to June 2026. Before that, she was Senior Brand Manager – Brand Marketing Strategy for JioHotstar between December 2024 and December 2025, where she played a key role in shaping the platform’s brand positioning and marketing initiatives.
Maheshwari joined the streaming ecosystem in March 2022 as Senior Marketing Manager, Content Marketing – Hotstar Specials at Disney+ Hotstar. During her tenure, she worked on marketing campaigns for original content and helped drive audience engagement across the platform’s entertainment offerings.
Before entering the streaming industry, she spent over two years at Lionsgate as Senior Marketing Manager, overseeing marketing efforts for the studio’s content portfolio in India.
Her career also includes a four-year stint at Parle Agro, where she rose from Assistant Brand Manager Marketing to Brand Manager, working across some of the company’s consumer brands. Earlier, she served as Marketing Brand Manager at Unilever between June 2014 and October 2015.
With experience spanning entertainment, streaming and FMCG, Maheshwari’s elevation comes as JioStar continues to strengthen its marketing leadership amid an increasingly competitive digital media landscape.
