Javier Campopiano, Global Chief Creative Officer, Global Clients at Omnicom Advertising Group, is set to exit the company at the end of May. Campopiano had assumed the role in December 2025 following Omnicom’s acquisition of Interpublic Group. Prior to joining OAG, he served as Global Creative Leader at McCann Worldgroup and McCann Worldwide from 2023.
Campopiano took to LinkedIn to confirm the news, where he expressed gratitude for his tenure at Omnicom.
Before taking on the Omnicom-wide mandate, he served as Worldwide Chief Creative Officer at Grey Group from December 2021 to September 2023. Simultaneously, he also held the role of Chief Creative Officer, Grey Group Europe, from August 2019 to July 2022.
Prior to Grey, Campopiano spent nearly eight years at Saatchi & Saatchi, where he served as SVP Chief Creative Officer for the US and Latin America from August 2014 to July 2022. During this period, he also briefly joined FCB México as Partner & CCO between June 2018 and July 2019.
Earlier, he worked with FCB International as Chief Creative Officer and Regional Executive Creative Director for Latin America from February 2010 to July 2014.
Alongside his agency leadership roles, Campopiano also contributed to advertising education as Director of the Copywriting Degree and Professor at Underground School of Creativity from March 2006 to December 2010.
His earlier career includes stints as Creative Director and Regional Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi from April 2007 to January 2010, Creative Director at El Hotel JWT from January 2006 to April 2007, and Creative Director at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide between March 2005 and January 2006.
He also worked at Ogilvy & Mather from April 2001 to December 2005, where he rose from Copywriter to Regional Creative Director. Campopiano began his entrepreneurial journey as Copywriter and Partner at Campopiano & Posteraro Buenos Aires from January 1997 to December 2000.
