Adobe has unveiled Firefly AI Assistant, powered by its creative agent, bringing a unified conversational interface to its creative ecosystem. The assistant has been integrated into Adobe Firefly and has enabled users to execute complex, multi-step workflows across Creative Cloud applications using natural language prompts.
The company has said the assistant has been designed to orchestrate workflows across apps such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Lightroom and Express, allowing creators to manage tasks without switching between multiple tools, as per media reports.
Adobe has positioned the development as a shift toward “agentic creativity,” where users have guided outputs while the system has handled execution. The assistant has built on the company’s existing investments in generative and conversational AI, aiming to streamline production workflows and reduce manual intervention.
In parallel, Adobe has expanded Firefly’s video and image editing capabilities. The Firefly Video Editor has introduced features such as studio-quality audio enhancements, advanced colour controls and access to licensed assets via Adobe Stock. New image editing tools, including Precision Flow and AI Markup, have enabled more controlled and context-aware adjustments.
The platform has also expanded its ecosystem of AI models, now including more than 30 options. New additions such as Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Omni have joined models from providers like Google, Runway and ElevenLabs, giving users more flexibility in content creation.
Adobe has also partnered with Anthropic to explore integrations with its Claude models, enabling users to move from ideation to execution within Firefly.
