VML India has appointed Kunal Roy and Shekhar Khanna to its senior leadership team as part of its ongoing expansion in India. Kunal Roy has joined as Managing Partner – West and Growth Lead, while Shekhar Khanna has stepped in as Chief Strategy Officer. These appointments have reinforced VML India’s focus on delivering growth-led, integrated solutions for its clients across the country.
Kunal Roy has brought over two decades of experience in building businesses, brands, and agencies across Asia. Prior to joining VML India, he has led the transformation of multiple agencies in Malaysia and guided brands across categories including McDonald’s, Samsung, HSBC, Mondelez, Unilever, Nestlé, Adidas, Estée Lauder, and Abbott. At VML India, he has been tasked with leading the Mumbai office and driving growth in close partnership with CEO Babita Baruah.
Shekhar Khanna has accumulated 20 years of strategic experience across the APAC region, spanning research, digital, creative, activation, and media. He has leveraged his integrated approach to merge strategy, creativity, media, AI, and automation to drive efficiency and effectiveness. His appointment has established a strengthened strategic planning unit alongside Shubhrojyoti Roy, National Planning Director and BX Lead.
The leadership appointments have underscored VML India’s commitment to building future-ready solutions, combining creativity, strategy, commerce, and technology to deliver growth for clients and teams alike.
