Akasa Air has appointed Naarayan T V as its Chief Marketing Officer. In his new role, he has been overseeing the airline’s marketing, corporate communications and ESG, customer experience, eCommerce, customer loyalty, and partnerships functions. Naarayan has also been serving as a member of Akasa’s Executive Committee.

Prior to this, he was the Chief Marketing Officer at IDFC First Bank from December 2021 to August 2025, Head of Marketing at SugarBox from May 2021 to December 2021, and Head Merchant Acquisition for International Markets at PayPal from October 2020 to May 2021.
He has also served as Head of Marketing at PayPal between June 2019 and May 2021 and as Head of Merchant Marketing, India at PayPal from October 2017 to June 2019. Before that, he has worked with Standard Chartered Bank where he was Director and Head of Digital Marketing and Media Planning between October 2015 and October 2017, and Head of Media Planning from April 2013 to October 2015.
His earlier stints include HSBC where he was Vice President for Premier Proposition from May 2012 to April 2013, Vice President and Head of Brand and Marketing from July 2011 to May 2012, and Associate Vice President of Marketing from November 2009 to July 2011.
He has also been Senior Manager for Digital Marketing at TimesofMoney from November 2008 to November 2009, Senior Manager for Product Marketing at Motilal Oswal Securities from November 2006 to November 2008, and Assistant Manager for Marketing and Branding at Kotak Securities from February 2005 to May 2006.
