WPP Media Appoints Sairam Ranganathan To Lead Commerce In India

WPP Media has appointed Sairam Ranganathan as the new Head of Commerce for its India operations, underscoring the company’s strategic focus on the country’s rapidly expanding digital and e-commerce sector.

The announcement was made on WPP Media’s official LinkedIn page, stating, “We are pleased to announce that Sairam Ranganathan will be stepping into the role of Head of Commerce for WPP Media India.”

Prior to this, Ranganathan served as Chief Digital Officer at Wavemaker and Wavemaker NorthStar from October 2023 to July 2025. Before that, he was National Head – Digital Services at Wavemaker India from January 2021 to September 2023.

Earlier, he held the position of Vice President – Head of Client Leadership at Mindshare Fulcrum from December 2018 to December 2020. He has also worked with Wavemaker India as General Manager for the Vodafone account in 2018, and previously served as Head of Digital (Paid, Owned, Earned Media) – West from August 2013 to December 2017.

Ranganathan has also worked across leading agencies including Maxus Global and Mindshare, handling major clients in telecom, FMCG, BFSI, e-commerce, and technology.
