A month after Pragya Bijalwann, Head- Marketing, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals, decided to part ways from the company, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals has appointed Tata Consumer Products’ Tanmay Prusty as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
Joining from Tata Consumer Products, where he served the role of Senior Vice President , Category Head- Capital Foods (Chings/S&J ) for the past one years, Prusty is a seasoned and dynamic marketing leader with a wealth of experience across high-profile roles in some of the most renowned companies in India, including Tata Consumer Products, Amazon, Reckitt Benckiser, and ITC.
He had joined Tata Consumer Products as General Manager and Head of National Brands in May 2020 and was elevated to the role of VP and Head of National Brands in October 2020 and as SVP and Business/Category Head- Capital foods in February 2024.
During his time as Business Unit Head at Capital Foods, he was responsible for leading the integration of Tata Consumer’s recent acquisition, with a business size of Rs 800 crores across multiple brands like Ching’s Secret and Smith and Jones.
Prior to joining TCPL, he was associated with Oyo as VP- Business Unit Head from November 2019 to May 2020 and as Category Head- Audio, TV, Musical Instruments at Amazon from January 2016 to November 2019.
In the past, he also served a more than three-and-a-half years long stint at Reckitt Benckiser wherein he served the role of Senior Brand Manager- New Products and Innovation (Dettol) from June 2012 to January 2015 and assumed the role of Marketing Manager- Hand Hygiene (Dettol) in February 2015.
In the past, he also worked with ITC for over seven years across a slew of roles ranging from Management Trainee (AUT); Area Manager- Coastal AP; Assistant Brand Manager- Gold Flake, Benson & Hedges, India Kings; Assistant Branch Manager- Bangalore Metro- Foods; and Brand Manager- Personal Care- Fiama Di Wills.
