Vipin Unni Joins aha As Chief Marketing Officer

aha has onboarded Vipin Unni as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In his new role, he will lead subscriber growth through marketing initiatives, content, and product engagement.

Furthermore, he will lead performance-focused campaigns, and partner with product teams to create fresh experiences, among other things.

Previously, he was Head of Strategy- Malayalam and Telugu Cluster at Sun TV Network from August 2023 to September 2024. In this position, he crafted narratives that reflected the values and traditions of the region while driving viewership and utilised TV as a powerful platform to influence society positively and promote a progressive outlook.

Before this, he served as Head of Marketing and Communications at Star TV Network from July 2017 to August 2023. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing and leading the marketing team for StarMaa. Additionally, he designed and developed digital marketing strategy and execution.

Prior to this, from August 2013 to July 2017, he was Co-Founder and Director at Attitude Plus Management Consulting and was responsible for trade marketing activity.

Earlier, Unni was associated with Airtel for over seven years. He started his journey with the company in June 2006 as Head- Prepaid Acquisitions. Following this, he was elevated to Head- Brand and Media in January 2010. Finally, from September 2011 to August 2013, he served as Deputy General Manager.

From September 2002 to June 2006 he was Rural Marketing and Cluster Head- Prepaid at Reliance Communications. In the past, from August 1998 to September 2002, he served as Territory Sales Incharge at Hindustan Unilever (formerly known as Hindustan Lever).
