Sapphire Foods India has announced a leadership transition within its quick-service restaurant portfolio, appointing Vikrant Vohra as President and Chief Executive Officer of its KFC business, effective July 25, 2026. The move follows the resignation of Deepak Taluja, who will step down as President and CEO – KFC Business at the close of business hours on July 24, 2026.
Vohra currently serves as Executive Vice President and CEO of the Pizza Hut business at Sapphire Foods and will continue to be designated as part of the company’s senior management personnel. His elevation comes as part of a broader leadership reshuffle announced by the company in a regulatory filing.
A hotel management graduate, Vohra brings nearly two decades of experience across hospitality brands including The Park, Hyatt, Taj, and Marriott International. During his tenure at Sapphire Foods, he has led KFC operations across Karnataka, Kerala, and West India before taking charge of the Pizza Hut business in India as CEO.
The company also announced the elevation of Saurabh Girdhar to Assistant Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Pizza Hut business, effective July 25, 2026. Girdhar currently serves as COO – Pizza Hut Business (Bangalore & Kerala) and has over 17 years of experience in the QSR industry. Prior to joining Sapphire Foods, he held roles at Yum India and Devyani International.
Meanwhile, Taluja will continue to discharge his responsibilities during his notice period until July 24, 2026, after which the leadership changes will take effect.
